Event Details
The Athlete Centered Coaching Virtual Workshop is designed to provide coaches with current tools to provide a safe and athlete-centered environment, emphasizing positive growth and sportsmanship. Coaches will acquire tools and strategies to help develop and implement an athlete-centered coaching philosophy. Coaches will also gain an understanding of teaching techniques used to optimize athlete engagement in the sport. Coaches can apply their athlete-centered coaching philosophy to teach lacrosse using techniques such as non-linear pedagogy, guided instruction, and constraints.
This workshop is designed for coaches of all levels of players. Even veteran coaches who have previously completed our Level 1 certification will find value in this discussion-based workshop.
This workshop currently meets the instructional clinic (hands-on) requirement to US Lacrosse's Level 1 Coach Certification.
Workshops will be held on zoom. US Lacrosse reserves the right to reschedule any sessions with fewer than 8 coaches enrolled.
